Okamino and Beyond
In the progression of flowering bushes on my WRT hike this morning, these choke cherry blossoms are at their peak. Dad once made choke cherry wine - no grapes in Northern Ontario. Happiness #1 today is the recollection of that wine and the man who could do or would try to do most anything.
From the top of the WRT hike this morning you can still see some snow on the tallest mountains circling the valley. In former years, this snow stays till June, but I reckon this year will be different. Happiness #2 is that the weather has been so lovely, I will be planting my garden soon.
Happiness #3 is being able to recognize poison ivy on my trail and avoid it.
