It's a chilly 2C this morning, but good for hiking up the Deer Knob behind the house. Getting close to the ground for this shot of Arrow-leaf Balsam Root leaves. They look like Swiss chard and wonder that nothing eats them.
You can make out downtown from the top of this little knoll.
I don't call it Deer Knob for nothing. She, I assumed, stayed within 15 feet of me for minutes while I took photos. I wondered then if she didn't have a young fawn nearby.
