Okamino and Beyond

What a spectacular day to do the WRT hike with my daughter! We're both amazed and thrilled that there is water in the pond which has been dry for so many years. There were ducks galore in there, hoping I think, to make it a permanent nesting site.  Not going to happen! This will dry up like a proverbial popcorn fart, to use Don's expression.

At the top, trying to pretend there isn't construction in every direction. Sigh!

Eagle-eyed Chantal spied this Okanagan tree frog. (I would have walked passed it for sure.) It is probably only about an inch and a half long but makes the loudest croak for its body size.

Van Gogh anyone?
